Can't Talk by Christina Gerakiteys

I need to let you know from the start that I am NOT a photographer, so if you think this book contains professional photographs I'm happy to say it doesn't.

I just LOVE taking photos. I also LOVE walking. ost of the photos in this book where taken on my various phones over a period of years. A couple where taken with my Sony Alpha.

All the photos where I was out walking, often exploring new locations at home or travelling, and while away working or at conferences. The rest were taken in my beautiful home city of Newcastle, NSW. We like to think we are a well-kept sea-side secret but I suspect the world is catching on thanks to Lonely Planet.

I don't often walk with my phone unless it is with the intent of talking photos, and I don't do that often because to me everything is a picture and what is usually an hour and a bit walk turns into a two-hour extravaganza. I often desirable these times as my 'moments of sanity', my calm before a busy day of preparing school lunches, back to back meetings, business consultations, workshops, strategic planning, facilitation's or whatever else my calendar foo the day holds. They are also the prefect times for me to ponder a problem or a new business idea and hopefully connect a few 'dots's.

Over the years friends have suggested that I make coffee table book of my photos. O hope you can hear the waves, smell the sea or country air and become lost, even fro a few moments, in the places that you visit through these pages.

The title of this book has been hotly discussed by several friends. They either 'get it' (I can't talk to you now because I am using my phone to take photo's), or they are completely confused (why are you passing people on your walk and telling them you can't talk to the because you are talking to someone else on your phone)... And since I have always loved a bit of controversy, I don't change it to My Early Morning Walking Photos or Inspiring Moments While Out Walking.... Christina
